&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;Looking back on the essay I wrote 4 years ago (and reading Macbeth), I understand more about the beauty of Shakespeare.  Hearing, not reading, his plays makes a big difference.  In addition, on stage, there are many visual clues to help, although it is still easy to get lost.  Modern audiences may have more &amp;quot;intellectualism&amp;quot; than I give them credit for.
