I was the [[UA]]'s student representative on MIT's committee to change Athena "clusters" and student printing from Spring 2010-on. The committee's work has not been approved for public release yet.

Along with my colleagues at CSL, we prepared a ~10 page report of proposed changes.

-I'm very happy to be able to come up with a solution that reduces costs for MIT while increasing student satisfaction.  I don't think that happens often, but I'm glad we were able to make it happen.  In addition, I don't think it's every day that students voluntary agree to a quota.

 As of January 2012, there appears to be no progress made on the Athena space issue.  However, the library has added more group study rooms.
