		+	I start by guessing the number in the middle of the allowable range. For this example, assume I entered "2" as the difficulty, so the calculator is thinking of a number between 1 and 100. The number in the middle is 50. I try that and the calculator says "Try higher". Now I know that the number is somewhere between 51 and 100. The next number I try is 75 (right in the middle of the allowable range). In such, I am not merely guessing, but methodically narrowing down the possibilities, in order to find the number in the least number of guesses. It says "Try higher". All right, the number is between 76 and 100. Rather than try a weird number like 87, I try the next multiple of 10: 80. "Try lower". Now I know the number is 76, 77, 78, or 79. I try 77, which is somewhere in the middle. "Try higher". All right, it is 78 or 79. One in two chance. I just go with 78. "Try higher". Darn; it's 79.
