I believe that all sterotypes are based on facts.  All steroypes start somewhere, from a certain provalble fact or observation.  Just as rumors start somewhere, all sterotypes have some facts behind them.  '''I am not saying that all sterotypes are true.'''  Oh, no, I know that.  However, I believe that sterotypes are not just bad.  They are a valuble tool for classifiy and making assumptions about people.  These are not alwasys true, of course, but they must be true in some cases, probably the majority.  Some sterotypes, however, are just plain wrong.  They are made up out of thin air.  How to differencate?  I'm still working that out.
