Baker House is the MIT dorm I lived in for freshman and sophomore years. I was attracted to Baker because of its architectural history. It's more than 50 years old, but it still feels modern and new. Baker is also the #1 most requested dorm on campus.
In freshman year, I was elected VPFS of Baker House. As Vice President of Facilities, I looked after the student-run facilities, most importantly the printers and internet. I worked as a representative of the House student government (the ExecCon) to represent student interests. Day to day, I looked after the printers; as well as the student government-owned supplies, including DVD collection. I replaced the signage around Baker. I worked with others in the House government to upgrade the gym and get a new scanner. I also worked a little on the House website.
I was also an RCC at Baker.
