Me and Marissa Mayer
The 2013 Yahoo APMs

In the time between the end of MIT and starting at Oracle, Yahoo called me to offer me a spot in their new APM (Associate Product Manager) program. The program started at Google were Marissa Mayer was employee #20 and one of their few product managers. She bet that she could grow new product managers faster than the company could hire experienced ones. When Marissa moved to Yahoo, she set up a similar program. The program consists of two one-year rotations. In the middle, participants take an international trip with Marissa to different countries to visit local operations.

In my first rotation (July 2013-July 2014), I worked on geo and membership platforms.
