I was a member of the MIT Council on Educational Technology [1] during MIT Junior year.
MITCET funds education technology projects at MIT that are designed to help students currently on campus learn better.
During fall 2011, MITCET was one of the committees involved in setting up MITx. As a MITCET member, I heard about the plans when they were top secret and as a committee we helped shape them. For more about the process of setting up MITx, see this article in The Tech.
